Our History

Computer Aided Services (CAS) was established in 1986 as a service house engaged in Desktop Publishing, offering support to computers and other office automation equipment.

After 4 years, in 1990, CAS Trading House Pvt. Ltd. was founded by our current Chairman Mr. Yogesh Lal Shrestha, an experienced entrepreneur in electronic, industry, finance and real estate. Since then under the leadership and vision of Mr. Yogesh Lal Shrestha, CAS has grown strength to strength and pioneered in ICT offering ‘Total Solutions’ in Nepal.


CAS intensively started marketing office automation equipment, computers and peripherals, and PABX systems along with its strong support services. Soon it came to be ranked as one of the top companies for Solutions Providers.


After having partnered with HP (then Compaq) for servers and desktops, CAS started to explore new opportunities in the ICT field. Additionally it partnered with APC (currently Schnieder) for its products and services. It then focused on providing Integrated Network Solutions, a fresh concept just emerging in Nepal. Clients for this service included prestigious institutions such as World Bank, British Embassy, USAID, Nabil Bank, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu among others.


CAS became Business Alliance Partner of Infosys Technologies, India and started to offer their enterprise banking solution, BANCS2000 (now renamed FINACLE). The new product, FINACLE, is in use at Nabil Bank, one of the country’s biggest and leading private sector banks, along with 10 other A class commercial banks in Nepal. CAS also partnered with Digital Electronic Concern, and started offering their Unix based servers and storage.


CAS launched Web Services department for web design, development and hosting to cater to increasing customer demands.


CAS Techno Sales was established as a separate entity to focus on the Enterprise Business sector.


CAS partnered with Cisco, Avaya, Avaya Global Solutions, Boxlight Corporation, Grisoft and Lacie among others to bring world-class technology to Nepal. At the same time, CAS started to strategize as System Integrator and Managed Service Provider.


CAS had grown into a leading SI and Support service provider to reputed clients in Telecommunication, BFSI, INGO and Government sectors offering various software solutions, IVR, integrated hardware and networking, project management and delivery, and L1/L2 support services.


Designed and built the first ever commercial data center in Bhairahawa, Nepal with a new entity OHM Data Center. OHM DC focuses on providing disaster recovery site and managed services for BFSI, Telco, INGOs, corporates and others.


Launched the plan to provide the first ever Cloud services in Nepal through its data center and also extended plans to create another commercial data center in Kathmandu. CAS acquired Oracle’s Gold Partnership and is in the process of becoming Microsoft’s Gold partner.
